Contest Types

Every official FFA speaking contest, configured out of the box.

Each contest type ships with official time limits, rubrics, penalties, and tie-breakers. Sectional events can clone official rule sets and make controlled modifications.

Prepared Public Speaking

Six- to eight-minute prepared speech on an agricultural subject, judged on content, composition, delivery, and response to questions.

Extemporaneous Public Speaking

Contestants draw a topic and prepare a four- to six-minute speech with limited prep time, followed by judge questions.

Creed Speaking

Recitation of the FFA Creed and response to oral questions, focused on understanding and delivery.

Job Interview

Cover letter, résumé, application, telephone interview, in-person interview, and follow-up letter — a complete employment cycle.

Conduct of Chapter Meetings

Team event evaluating parliamentary procedure ability, business demonstration, and chair effectiveness.

Versioned rules engine

Rule sets are versioned and configurable — never hard-coded into the UI. Regional and State contests follow official rules; Section contests may clone and modify within controlled bounds.
